Glove Compartment Lamp

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim removal wedge (VAS 3409)

CAUTION!
• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove ignition key.

• When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool (VAS 3409), screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing

- Open glove box.

- Carefully pry out the Glove Compartment Light (W6) using a (VAS 3409).





- Disconnect electrical connection - arrow -.





Bulb, replacing

- Disengage retaining tabs - 1 - and remove heat shield - 2 - from diffusion lens of glove compartment light.





- Carefully pry bulb from socket.





- Replace bulb (12V, 5 W).

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Check the function of the Glove Compartment Lamp Switch (E26). The Glove Compartment Lamp Switch must not light up when the cover is closed.
