Instrument Panel Lamps and Switches

Light Switch

The following components are integrated with the Light Switch (E1):

• Fog Lamp Switch (E7)

• Rear Fog Lamp Switch (E18)

• Headlamp Switch Light (L9)

CAUTION!
• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove ignition key.

• When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool (trim removal wedge (VAS 3409), screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing

- Turn the light switch rotary knob to the "0" position.

- Press the headlamp switch rotary knob in - 1 - and turn it slightly to the right - 2 -.

- Hold turning handle in this position and remove light switch out from instrument panel - 3 -.





- Disconnect electrical connection - arrow -.





Installing

- Connect the connector to the headlamp switch.

- Hold light switch firmly and press in rotary handle of light switch - 1 - and turn slightly toward right - 2 -.





- Hold rotary knob in this position and insert light switch into instrument panel - 3 -.

- Turn the rotary switch to the "0" position, release and engage the light switch.
