Wheel Bearing Housing, Bearing and Trailing Arm Assembly Overview





1 Bolt, 50 Nm + 45° additional turn

• Always replace after removal.

2 Mounting bracket

3 Bolt, 90 Nm + 90° additional turn

• M12 x 1.5 x 80.

• Always replace after removal.

4 Coupling rod

• Connects the stabilizer bar to the trailing arm/wheel bearing housing.

5 Bolt, 90 Nm + 90° additional turn

• Follow the tightening sequence, refer to --> [ Installing ] Trailing Arm with Mounting Bracket.

• Always replace after removal

6 Trailing arm

• Removing and installing, refer to --> [ Trailing Arm with Mounting Bracket ] Trailing Arm with Mounting Bracket.

• Bushing removing and installing, refer to --> [ Trailing Arm Bushing ] Service and Repair.

7 Bolt, 8 Nm

8 Right rear wheel speed sensor (G44)/left rear wheel speed sensor (G46)

• Can be checked in "Guided Fault Finding" using the B.

• Before inserting sensor, clean the inner surface of the bore and coat with Polycarbamide grease (G 000 650).

9 Wheel bearing housing

• Removing and installing, refer to --> [ Wheel Bearing Housing ] Wheel Bearing Housing.

10 Wheel bearing housing bushing

• Removing and installing, refer to --> [ Wheel Bearing Housing Bushing ] Wheel Bearing Housing Bushing.

11 Nut, 45 Nm

• Always replace after removal.

12 Bolt, 4 Nm

13 Brake disc

14 Dust cap

• Always replace after removal.

• Removing and installing, refer to --> [ Wheel Bearing and Hub ] Wheel Bearing and Hub.

An appropriate seal can only be achieved with a new dust cap.

15 Bolt, 180 Nm + 180° additional turn

• M16 x 1.5 x 70.

• Loosen and tighten using bit XZN 18 (T10162).

• Always replace after removal.

16 Wheel hub and l bearing

• Sensor ring for Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) is installed in the wheel hub

• Removing and installing, refer to --> [ Wheel Bearing and Hub ] Wheel Bearing and Hub.

The wheel bearing and hub are installed together in the housing.

This wheel bearing and hub is maintenance and adjustment free. Adjusting and servicing are not possible!
