Determining Clutch Manufacturer

A clutch could be installed from either of the manufacturers, " Sachs" or "LuK".

Clutch makes can be differentiated with transmission installed as follows:

- Remove noise insulation

Some recesses - arrows - are located between engine - A - and transmission - B - in lower area of engine oil pan.





- Through these recesses, inspect outer contour of the flywheel.

- The outer contour of the flywheel can also be inspected by removing the small cover plate - A -.





Rounded outer contour - arrow - = Sachs - A -

- Clutch manufactured by Sachs, removing and installing --> [ Clutch, Sachs ] Clutch, Sachs

- Service clutch of Sachs make --> [ Clutch, Sachs, Servicing ] Clutch, Sachs, Servicing.

Squared outer contour - arrows 1 - and a circulated depression - arrow 2 - = Clutch manufacturer, LuK = - B -.
