Air Filter, Cleaning Housing and Replacing Filter Element

• Snow Screen, 2.0L, Cleaning

Air Filter, Cleaning Housing and Replacing Filter Element and Cleaning Snow Screen

• Depending on equipment, a strainer in air guide is installed in lower section of air filter housing in area of air intake apparatus.

• This strainer has the function in winter months of catching snow and ice and therefore preventing blockage of the air filter element.

• If a person reaches into air intake apparatus from the front, it can be felt whether a snow strainer is installed.

- Remove fastening bolts - arrows -.





- Remove the upper portion of the air filter housing upwards.

- Remove old air filter element - arrow -.

- Removing and installing snow strainer.





• Observe waste disposal regulations!

- Clean filter housing and insert new air filter element.

- Insert upper section of filter housing and tighten bolts - arrows -.





Snow Screen, 2.0L, Cleaning





Snow strainer is located in air intake apparatus - 4 -.

- Remove upper section of air filter.

- Remove air filter element - 1 -.

- Remove lower section of air filter - 7 -.

- Remove air intake apparatus - 4 - and remove snow strainer - 5 - from air intake apparatus.

- Clean snow strainer.

Installation is the reverse of removal.

• Tightening specification for item - 2 - 10 Nm.

• Tightening specification for item - 3 - 3 Nm.
