Removal





• Due to equipment variations, small deviations must be considered during removal and installation.

- Remove seat.

- Pull off the adjustment knob -=> [ (Item 7) Adjusting Knob (Backrest) ] Front Seats Overview-.

- Unclip two caps -=> [ (Item 8) Cover ] Front Seats Overview-, unscrew two bolts -=> [ (Item 9) Bolt ] Front Seats Overview-, and remove the adjustment lever -=> [ (Item 10) Adjusting Lever (Seat Height) ] Front Seats Overview-.

- Unscrew the bolt -=> [ (Item 2) Bolt for Right Trim ] Front Seats Overview- and remove the trim -=> [ (Item 1) Right Seat Trim ] Front Seats Overview-.

- Remove the bolt -=> [ (Item 12) Bolt for Left Trim ] Front Seats Overview-.

- Remove the trim -=> [ (Item 11) Left Seat Trim ] Front Seats Overview-.

- Unclip the left cap -=> [ (Item 3) Right Cover Cap ] Front Seats Overview- and the right cap -=> [ (Item 6) Left Cover Cap ] Front Seats Overview-.

- Unclip wiring under seat.

- If present, disconnect harness connector - 1 - for backrest heater.





- Pry out clip - 2 - and remove airbag wiring - 3 -.

- Remove the fitting bolts - 4 - on both sides of seat and remove backrest.

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order.

• Fitting bolts - 4 - must be secured with locking compound (D 000 600 A2) (tightening specification 20 Nm).
