Headlamp Alignment Sensor: Testing and Inspection
Level Control System Sensor, Checking
The Vehicle Level Sensors transmit the vehicle level in the form of a signal to the Headlamp Range Control Module.
In the following, it will be checked whether Left Rear Level Control System Sensor and Left Front Level Control System Sensor send signals which can be evaluated to Headlamp Range Control Module.
In the following cases, no DTC entry is stored in Headlamp Range Control Module:
• when vehicle level sensors are not installed as specified in the repair information
• when vehicle level sensors are damaged mechanically
• when vehicles have a modified axle geometry (e.g. lowered vehicle)
• If values of vehicle level sensors are outside the tolerance range, basic setting of headlamps cannot be performed.
