B10C2 - Rear Defrost Switch Stuck - HVAC Control Head
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.
• When Monitored: With the ignition on.
• Set Condition: When the rear defrost switch is held in the On position for over 10 seconds, this code will set.
Test Step 1 - Test for a Intermittent Condition
• Turn the ignition ON.
• With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
• Operate the rear defrost switch several times.
• Cycle the ignition from ON to OFF.
• Turn the ignition ON.
• With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display B10C2 - Rear Defrost Switch Stuck?
Yes
• Replace the HVAC control head.
• Perform the HVAC Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. HVAC Verification Test
No
• The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
