Removing
Use care when removing the Heated Seat Module (HSM) from the seat to prevent damage to the plastic HSM housing and retaining tab. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the HSM and retaining tab.
- Position the driver front seat to the full rearward position.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Using an appropriate door trim tool or needle nose pliers, disengage the retaining tab (2) that secures the Heated Seat Module (HSM) (3) to the seat pan (1).
- Disconnect the wire harness connector (4) from the heated seat module (3).
- Remove the heated seat module (3) from the vehicle.
Installing
Properly align the Heated Seat Module (HSM) retaining tab to the hole in the seat pan, prior to engagement. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the plastic HSM housing and retaining tab.
- Position the Heated Seat Module (HSM) (3) to the seat pan (1) and connect the wire harness connector (4).
- Align the HSM retaining tab (2) to the hole in the seat pan and enage the retaining tab to the seat. Firmly apply even pressure to the HSM until the retaining tab is fully engaged.
- Connect the negative battery cable.
- Check for proper heated seat system operation.
