Power Folding Seat System Verification Test
Power Folding Seat System Verification Test
Test Step 1 - Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test
To avoid bodily injury while the folding seat is in operation, keep clear of the seat leg latch striker pocket as the seat leg reaches its fully latched position.
• Disconnect all jumper wires and reconnect all previously disconnected components and connectors.
• Ensure that all accessories are turned off.
• Ensure that the battery is fully charged.
• If DTC B1E4D or B1E52 are active, or if the folding seat module or a seat component that would effect the stow motor hall sensor position calibration was removed or replaced, the write valid seat position routine under miscellaneous functions must be performed at this time using the scan tool. If unsure about the stow motor hall sensor position calibration, use the scan tool and verify the current seat position stored in FSM matches the physical position of the folding seat and perform routine as necessary. Ensure all four power 3rd row seat leg latches are latched prior to performing this routine.
• If either the folding seat module or the mechanism that contains the recliner hard stop was replaced, the recliner end of travel calibration routine under miscellaneous functions must be performed at this time using the scan tool. Ensure all four power 3rd row seat leg latches are latched prior to performing this routine.
• Turn the ignition ON.
• With the scan tool erase FSM DTCs.
• Operate the folding seat in all positions with the folding seat switch and each seat recliner switch.
• With the scan tool check for DTCs in the FSM.
