Horn Switch


On vehicles equipped with airbags, refer to electrical, restraints before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.







Removal

- Remove the driver side airbag assembly (1).

- Disconnect the air bag assembly electrical connectors.

The horn switch pads are only serviced as an assembly with the airbag mounting bracket.

- Remove the four e-clip retainers (3) that secure the airbag mounting bracket (2) to the airbag.

Installation

The horn switch pads are only serviced as an assembly with the airbag mounting bracket.

- Position the airbag mounting bracket (2).

- Press down to compress the springs and install the four e-clip retainers (3), securing bracket to the airbag (1).

- Position the airbag assembly and connect the electrical connectors.

- Install the driver side airbag assembly.

- Connect the battery negative cable.
