Accessory Drive Belt

Removing






- Raise and suitably support the vehicle.

- Remove the accessory drive belt shield bolts (1 and 2).

- Remove the accessory drive belt shield (3).







Do not allow the drive belt tensioner to snap back, as damage to the tensioner and/or personal injury could result.

- Position a wrench (2) onto the belt tensioner lug (1).

- Release the belt tension by rotating the tensioner clockwise.

- Remove the accessory drive belt.

- Carefully return the tensioner to its relaxed position.

Installing






- Route and position the accessory drive belt (2) onto all pulleys, except for the crankshaft pulley (8).

- Rotate the belt tensioner (7) clockwise until the belt can be installed onto the crankshaft pulley (8). Slowly release the belt tensioner.

- Verify that the belt is properly routed and seated on all the pulleys.






- Install the accessory drive belt shield (3).

- Install the accessory drive belt shield bolts (1 and 2).

- Lower the vehicle.
