Headlamp Leveling Module






Headlamp Leveling Module

Removing

- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Tools and Equipment.

- Remove the trim from the left quarter inner panel..

- Locate the Automatic Headlamp Leveling Module (AHLM) (also known as the High Intensity Discharge Transducer/HIDT) (1) on the top of the left inner rear wheel housing (3).






- Disconnect the body wire harness connector from the connector receptacle of the AHLM.

- Remove the two nuts (2) that secure the mounting strap of the AHLM to the two studs on the top of the left inner rear wheel housing.

- Remove the AHLM and mounting strap from the studs on the top of the left inner rear wheel housing as a unit.

Installing

- Position the Automatic Headlamp Leveling Module (AHLM) (also known as the High Intensity Discharge Transducer/HIDT) (1) and mounting strap over the studs on the top of the left inner rear wheel housing (3) as a unit.






- Install and tighten the two nuts (2) that secure the mounting strap of the AHLM to the two studs on the top of the left inner rear wheel housing. Tighten the nuts to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.).

- Reconnect the body wire harness connector to the connector receptacle of the AHLM.

- Reinstall the trim onto the left quarter inner panel..

- Reconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Tools and Equipment.
