Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

Removing







Hot, pressurized coolant can cause injury by scalding. The cooling system must be partially drained before removing the coolant temperature sensor.

- Drain the cooling system to a level below the engine coolant temperature sensor. Refer to => [ Cooling System Draining and Filling ] Cooling System Draining and Filling.

- Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector (2).

- Remove the ECT sensor (1).

Installing






- Install the ECT sensor (1). Tighten the sensor to 7 Nm (62 in lbs).

- Connect the ECT sensor electrical connector (2).

- Fill the cooling system. Refer to => [ Cooling System Draining and Filling ] Cooling System Draining and Filling.
