B1094 - Front Left Seat Heater Control Circuit High
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.
• When Monitored: During heated seat operation.
• Set Condition: The heated seat module detects an open or high voltage condition.
Test Step 1 - Test For Intermittent Condition
• Turn the ignition ON.
• With the scan tool, clear all DTCs.
• Operate the heated seat switch in both positions several times.
• Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.
• With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B1094 - Front Left Seat Heater Control Circuit Open?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 2 => [ Test Step 2 - Left Seat Heater B+ Driver Circuit Shorted to Voltage ]
No
• The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
• Perform Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non
- DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 2 - Left Seat Heater B+ Driver Circuit Shorted to Voltage
• Disconnect the heated seat module harness connector.
• Turn the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage on the left seat heater B+ driver circuit.
Is there voltage above 0.5 volts?
Yes
• Repair the left seat heater B+ driver circuit for a short to voltage.
• Perform Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non

No
• Go to Test Step 3 => [ Test Step 3 - Left Seat Heater B+ Driver Circuit Open ]
Test Step 3 - Left Seat Heater B+ Driver Circuit Open
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Measure the resistance of the left seat heater B+ driver circuit at the heated seat module harness connector to chassis ground.
Is the resistance between 2 and 5 ohms?
Yes
• Replace the heated seat module.
• Perform Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non

No
• Go to Test Step 4 => [ Test Step 4 - Seat Heater Ground Circuit Open ]
Test Step 4 - Seat Heater Ground Circuit Open
• Using a 12 volt test light connected to 12 volts, check the seat heater ground circuit at the heated seat module harness connector.
Does the test light illuminate brightly?
Yes
• Check the heater wiring in the driver seat harness for an open, if OK replace the open seat heater elements.
• Perform Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non

No
• Repair the open or excessive resistance in the seat heater ground circuit.
• Perform Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non
