B14C0 - Channel 10 Audio Speaker Output Circuit High

• When Monitored: With the ignition on.
• Set Condition: The amplifier detects a short to battery condition on the output circuit.
Test Step 1 - Check for an Intermittent Condition
• Turn the ignition ON, then OFF, and then ON again.
• With the scan tool, check for a amplifier DTCs.
Does the scan tool display B14C0 - Channel 10 Audio Speaker Output Circuit High?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 2.
No
• The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 2 - Check for Voltage on the Center I/P Speaker (+) Circuit
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Disconnect the amplifier C1 harness connector.
• Disconnect the speaker harness connector.
• Turn the ignition ON.
• Measure for voltage on the speaker (+) circuit.
Is the voltage more than 10.0 volts?
Yes
• Repair the speaker (+) circuit for a short to voltage.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
No
• Go to Test Step 3.
Test Step 3 - Check for Voltage on the Center I/P Speaker (-) Circuit
• Measure for voltage on the speaker (-) circuit.
Is the voltage more than 10.0 volts?
Yes
• Repair the speaker (-) circuit for a short to voltage.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
No
• Replace the amplifier.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
