• When Monitored: Continuously.

• Set Condition: When the wireless ignition node senses that the RKE transmitter signal is not as strong as it should be.






Test Step 1 - Test for an Intermittent Condition

• Turn the ignition ON.

• With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.

• Operate the RKE transmitter in all positions several times.

• With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B1A16 - RKE FOB 7 Battery Low?

Yes

• Replace the RKE transmitter battery and retry the system. If the DTC returns, replace and program the RKE transmitter.

• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

No

• The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time.
