B1E24 - 3rd Row Seat Mode Select Switch Circuit Low






For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.

• When Monitored: Continuously.

• Set Condition: When the folding seat module detects the folding seat select switch MUX circuit voltage is below.9 volts.






Test Step 1 - Test For Intermittent Condition

• Turn the ignition ON.

• With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.

• Operate the folding seat select switch several times.

• With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

• Go to Test Step 2 => [ Test Step 2 - Power Folding Seat Switch Shorted to Ground ]

No

• The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.

• Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

Test Step 2 - Power Folding Seat Switch Shorted to Ground

• With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.

• Disconnect the power rear folding seat switch harness connector.

• Turn the ignition ON.

• With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

• Go to Test Step 3 => [ Test Step 3 - Folding Seat Select Switch MUX Circuit Short to Folding
Seat Switch Return ]

No

• Replace the power rear folding seat select switch.

• Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

Test Step 3 - Folding Seat Select Switch MUX Circuit Short to Folding Seat Switch Return






• Turn the ignition OFF.

• Disconnect the C392 seat in - line 12 - way harness connector.

• Measure the resistance between the folding seat select switch MUX and the folding seat switch return circuit at the switch connector.

Is the resistance above 10k ohms?

Yes

• Go to Test Step 4 => [ Test Step 4 - Folding Seat Select Switch MUX Circuit Short to Ground ]

No

• Repair the folding seat select switch MUX circuit for a short to the folding seat switch return circuit.

• Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

Test Step 4 - Folding Seat Select Switch MUX Circuit Short to Ground






• the ignition is Off.

• Measure the resistance between ground and the folding seat select switch MUX circuit at the switch connector.

Is the resistance above 10k ohms?

Yes

• Gain access to and check the folding seat select switch MUX wire in the seat harness for a short to ground condition or to another circuit. If OK, replace the power rear folding seat module.

• Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

No

• Repair the folding seat select switch MUX circuit for a short to ground.

• Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test
