B1E2B - 3rd Row Seat Stow Switch - Stuck






For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.

When Monitored: Continuously.

Set Condition: When the power rear folding seat module senses the rear folding seat switch stow switch position input for longer than 50 seconds, this code will set.






Test Step 1 - Test For Intermittent Condition

Turn the ignition ON.

With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.

Operate the folding seat select switch several times.

With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

Go to Test Step 2 => [ Test
Step 2 - Power Folding Seat Switch Stuck ]

No

The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.

Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics . Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

Test Step 2 - Power Folding Seat Switch Stuck

With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.

Disconnect the Power Rear folding seat switch harness connector.

Turn the ignition ON.

With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

Go to Test Step 3 => [ Test
Step 3 - Normal/Stow Switch MUX Circuit Short to Folding Seat Switch
Return ]

No

Replace the power folding seat switch.

Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

Test Step 3 - Normal/Stow Switch MUX Circuit Short to Folding Seat Switch Return






Turn the ignition OFF.

Disconnect the C392 seat in - line harness 12 way connector.

Measure the resistance between the normal/stow switch MUX and the folding seat switch return circuit at the switch connector.

Is the resistance above 10k ohms?

Yes

Go to Test Step 4 => [ Test
Step 4 - Normal/Stow Switch MUX Circuit Short to Ground ]

No

Repair the normal/stow switch MUX circuit for a short to the folding seat switch return circuit.

Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

Test Step 4 - Normal/Stow Switch MUX Circuit Short to Ground






The ignition is Off.

Measure the resistance between ground and the normal/stow switch MUX circuit at the switch connector.

Is the resistance above 10k ohms?

Yes

Gain access to and check the normal/stow switch MUX wire in the seat harness to the power rear folding seat module for a short to ground condition or to another circuit. If OK, replace the power rear folding seat module.

No

Repair the normal/stow switch MUX circuit for a short to ground.
