B210D - Battery Voltage Low

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.

When Monitored: At all times.

Set Condition: Whenever the liftgate is activated, if the voltage is below 10.5 volts, within 15 seconds prior to power operation, this code will set.

Test Step 1 - Check For PCM DTCs

Ensure the battery is fully charged and serviceable before proceeding.

With the scan tool, read PCM DTCs.

Are there any PCM DTCs present?

No

Go to Test Step 2.

Yes

Refer to symptom list for problems related to engine.

Test Step 2 - Test for an Intermittent Condition

With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.

Start the engine and run for two minutes.

With the scan tool, check for DTCs.

Does the scan tool display B210D - Battery Voltage Low?

Yes

Go to Test Step 3

No

The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

Test Step 3 - Check the Fused B+ Circuit for an Open or High Resistance

The test lamp must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery.

Turn the ignition OFF.

Disconnect the power liftgate module C3 harness connector.

Turn the ignition ON.

Using a 12 volt test lamp connected to ground, check the fused B+ circuit.

Does the test tight illuminate brightly?

Yes

Go to Test Step 4

No

Repair the fused B+ circuit for an open or high resistance.

Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior

Test Step 4 - Check the Ground Circuit for an Open or High Resistance

The test lamp must illuminate brightly. Compare the brightness to that of a direct connection to the battery.

Using a 12 volt test lamp, connect one end to the fused B+ circuit and the other end to the ground in the liftgate C3 connector.

Does the test tight illuminate brightly?
