Fold and Stow Seats

B210E - Battery Voltage High

For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.

When Monitored: Engine running, during seat operation.

Set Condition: This code is set immediately after the folding seat module receives a high charging system voltage message over the CAN interior bus or detects voltage over 16.5 volts on the B+ circuit.

Test Step 1 - Check PCM/ECM for charging system DTC

With the scan tool, read ECM/PCM DTCs.

Are there any charging system DTCs set in the ECM/PCM?

Yes

Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics.

No

Go to Test Step 2 => [ Test
Step 2 - Test for Intermittent Condition ]

Test Step 2 - Test for Intermittent Condition

With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.

Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position then start the engine and let run for one minute.

Attempt to operate the power folding seat.

With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display active this DTC?

Yes

Go to Test Step 3 => [ Test
Step 3 - Check the Voltage on the B+ Circuit ]

No

The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.

Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

Test Step 3 - Check the Voltage on the B+ Circuit

Turn the ignition OFF.

Gain access to the power folding seat C392 12 way in - line connector.

Start the engine and let idle.

Backprobe and measure the voltage on the B+ circuit at the in - line harness connector and compare to voltage at the vehicle battery.

Is the voltage at the B+ circuit the same as measured at the battery?

Yes

Test the B+ circuit from the C392 12 way in - line connector to the folding seat module C1 connector and repair if necessary, if circuit is OK replace the folding seat module.

Perform Power Folding Seat System Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test

No

Repair the B+ circuit as necessary.
