High Intensity Discharge (HIDT) Translator
B222D-ECU Unable To Configure/Configuration Not Learned
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.
• When Monitored: With the ignition on.
• Set Condition: The Headlamp Leveling Module (HIDT) is not configured correctly to the vehicle.
Test Step 1 - CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC
• With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
• Cycle the ignition switch from off to on at least five times, leaving the ignition on for a minimum of 90 seconds per cycle.
• With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 2
No
• If the DTC is stored, check for an intermittent condition. Visually inspect the related wiring harness connectors. Look for broken, bent, pushed out, or corroded terminals.
Test Step 2 - CONFIGURE THE HEADLAMP LEVELING MODULE (HIDT) TO THE VEHICLE
• With the scan tool enter program network configuration and program the HIDT to the vehicle configuration.
• With the scan tool, erase HIDT DTCs.
• Cycle the ignition switch from off to on at least five times, leaving the ignition on for a minimum of 90 seconds per cycle.
• With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
• Inspect the wiring and connectors for damage or shorted circuits. If ok, replace and program the Totally Integrated Power Module.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
No
• Repair is complete.
