B2563 - Power Sliding Door Switch Circuit High
For a complete wiring diagram, refer to.
• When Monitored: Whenever the cluster is awake.
• Set Condition: When the cluster senses voltage over 6 volts on the sliding doors overhead switch MUX circuit for longer than 10 seconds, this code will set.
Test Step 1 - DTC Present
• With the scan tool, record DTCs.
• Erase DTCs
• Turn the ignition OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition ON.
• Operate the left power sliding door several times from the left power sliding door B - pillar switch.
• With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
• Go to Test Step 2 => [ Test Step 2 - Check Sliding Doors Overhead Switch MUX Circuit for
a Short to Voltage ]
No
• Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors for an intermittent condition.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 2 - Check Sliding Doors Overhead Switch MUX Circuit for a Short to Voltage
• Disconnect the switch - bank - No. 2 (PREMIUM) - 8 way harness connector.
• Turn the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage between ground and the sliding doors overhead switch MUX circuit in the switch - bank - No. 2 (PREMIUM) - 8 way harness connector.
Is the voltage above 5.9 volts?
No
• Go to Test Step 3 => [ Test Step 3 - Check the Sliding Doors Overhead Switch MUX Circuit
for an Open ]
Yes
• Go to Test Step 4 => [ Test Step 4 - Check the Sliding Doors Overhead Switch MUX Wire for
a Short to Voltage ]
Test Step 3 - Check the Sliding Doors Overhead Switch MUX Circuit for an Open
• Turn the ignition OFF.
• Disconnect the instrument cluster C2 harness connector.
• Measure the resistance of the sliding doors overhead switch MUX circuit between the switch - bank - No. 2 (PREMIUM) - 8 way harness connector and the instrument cluster C2 connector.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
No
• Repair the sliding doors overhead switch MUX circuit for an open.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Yes
• Replace the instrument cluster.
• Perform the Body Verification Test. Refer to => Non - DTC Based Diagnostics. Body Interior
Test Step 4 - Check the Sliding Doors Overhead Switch MUX Wire for a Short to Voltage
• Turn the ignition ON.
• Measure the voltage between ground and the sliding doors overhead switch MUX circuit in the switch - bank - No. 2 (PREMIUM) - 8 way harness connector.
Is there any voltage present?
