C2209-00-Tire Pressure Monitor Internal

• When Monitored: Ignition on. The Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) Module monitors its internal microprocessors for correct operation.

• Set Condition: If the Tire Pressure Module detects an internal fault, the DTC is set.






Test Step 1 - TPM INTERNAL FAILURE DTC PRESENT

• Turn the ignition on.

• With the scan tool, read DTCs.

• With the scan tool, erase DTCs.

• Turn the ignition off.

• Turn the ignition on.

• With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Does the scan tool display TIRE PRESSURE MODULE INTERNAL FAILURE?

Yes

• Replace the Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) Module.

• Perform TPM Verification Test. Refer to => Non-DTC
Based Diagnostics. Tire Pressure Monitor Verification Test

No

• The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
