Liftgate Handle, Exterior

Removing

- Remove the liftgate trim panel.

- Disconnect the power locking latch cable (1) from the exterior liftgate handle (2) and remove the cable from the handle.






- Disconnect the wire harness connector (3) from the exterior liftgate handle.

- Remove the two nuts (4) that secure the exterior liftgate handle to the liftgate and remove the handle.

Installing

- Route the electrical connector of the exterior liftgate handle (2) through the liftgate and position the handle to the outside of the liftgate.






- Install the two nuts (4) that secure the exterior liftgate handle to the inside of the liftgate. Tighten the nuts to 3 Nm (22 in lbs).

- Connect the wire harness connector (3) to the exterior liftgate handle.

- Install the power locking latch cable (1) onto the exterior liftgate handle and connect the cable to the handle.

- Install the liftgate trim panel.
