Liftgate Lock Cylinder

Removing

- Remove the liftgate trim panel.

- Disengage the clip that secures the lock cylinder rod (3) to the liftgate lock cylinder (4) and disconnect the rod from the cylinder.






- Remove the two nuts (2) that secure the liftgate lock cylinder to the inside of the liftgate (1) and remove the lock cylinder.

Installing

- Position the liftgate lock cylinder (4) into the liftgate (1) and install the two retaining nuts (2). Tighten the nuts to 3 Nm (22 in lbs).






- Install the lock cylinder rod (3) onto the lock cylinder and engage the retaining clip that secures the rod to the cylinder.

- Install the liftgate trim panel.
