Seat Back Hinge

Removing






• Passenger side shown. Driver side similar.

- Remove the seat back hinge covers from the hinge being serviced. Refer to => [ Seat Back Hinge Cover ] Seat Back Hinge Cover.

- Remove the bolts (1 and 2) securing the seat back hinge (3) to the seat.






- If servicing the driver side seat back hinge (3), remove the recliner synchronizing cable from the hinge by pulling the cable end (1) toward the front of the hinge and disconnect cable from the locking tab (2).

Installing






- If servicing the driver side seat back hinge (3), connect the cable end (1) of the recliner synchronizing cable to the locking tab (2) and pull the cable rearward to install the cable onto the hinge.

- Position the seat back hinge (3) to the seat and install the bolts (1 and 2). Tighten the bolts to 48 Nm (35 ft lbs).

- Adjust the synchronizing cable, if equipped. Refer to => [ Second and Third Row Bench Seat Back Hinge, Synchronizing Cable Adjustment ] Adjustments.

- Install the seat back hinge covers. Refer to => [ Seat Back Hinge Cover ] Seat Back Hinge Cover.
