Electric Vacuum Pump

Removing

- Remove the engine appearance cover.






- Disconnect the electrical connector (3) and remove the harness connector from the back side of the mounting bracket.

- Release the locking tab and disconnect the quick connect vacuum hose (1) from the vacuum pump (2).

- Remove the vacuum pump bracket bolts (2) and remove the vacuum pump assembly (1) from the vehicle.






Installing

- Position the vacuum pump assembly (1), ensuring that the two ground leads are in place while installing bracket mounting bolts (2). Tighten bolts to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).






- Attach the harness connector to the bracket and connect the electrical connector (3).

- Connect the quick-connect vacuum hose (1) to the vacuum pump (2) and seat the locking tab.






- Install the engine appearance cover.
