Accessory Drive Belt

Removing






- Raise and suitably support the vehicle.

- Remove the accessory drive belt shield bolts and shield.

- Position a wrench onto the drive belt tensioner (2) lug.

- Release the tension by rotating the drive belt tensioner clockwise.

- Remove the accessory drive belt (1).


Do not allow the drive belt tensioner to snap back, as damage to the tensioner and/or personal injury could result.

- Carefully return the drive belt tensioner to its relaxed position.

Installing






- Install the accessory drive belt (1) onto all the pulleys, except for the crankshaft pulley.

- Rotate the drive belt tensioner (2) clockwise until the drive belt (1) can be installed onto the crankshaft pulley. Slowly release the drive belt tensioner.

- Verify that the accessory drive belt is properly routed and seated onto all the pulleys.

- Install the accessory drive belt shield and bolts.

- Lower the vehicle.
