Tire Pressure Monitoring Module, Premium System
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Tire Pressure Monitor System Diagnostic Tool (J-49225)
Removing
- Remove wheelhouse splash shield.
- Disconnect wiring harness connector (3) at the Tire Pressure Module (2).
- Remove mounting nuts (1), then remove the Tire Pressure Module (2) from body seam flange (4).
Installing
- Position the Tire Pressure Module (2) on body seam flange (4) and install mounting nuts (1).
- Connect wiring harness connector (3) at the Tire Pressure Module (2).
- Install wheelhouse splash shield and all components removed to access it.
- Perform one of the following to make the system learn the new sensor ID:
- Use the Tire Pressure Monitor System Diagnostic Tool (J-49225) , with the Scan Tool to program the TPM Module with the tire pressure sensor ID. This is part of the TPM Diagnostic Verification Test.
- Once the vehicle has remained stationary for more than 20 minutes, drive vehicle for a minimum of 20 minutes while maintaining a continuous speed above 15 mph (24 km/h). During this time, the system will learn the new sensor ID. This is part of the TPM Diagnostic Verification Test.
