Power Outlet

Description

The instrument panel lower console includes up to two electrical power outlets for added convenience. One is battery fed and the other is ignition fed. The battery fed outlet provides continuous power. The premium center console includes one power outlet. The left rear quarter trim panel houses an additional power outlet.

Operation

The power outlet base or receptacle shell is connected to ground, and an insulated contact in the bottom of the shell is connected to battery current. The power outlet on the instrument panel lower console marked with a battery receives battery voltage from a fuse in the totally integrated power module at all times. The other power outlet on the instrument panel lower console marked with a key receives battery voltage only when the key is in the on position.

The power outlet located in the center console receives key on voltage. The power outlet located on the rear quarter trim panel receives battery voltage only when the key is in the ON position.
