Bench Seat Cover and Upholstery

• Removing and installing of the left rear bench seat is described. Removing and installing the right rear bench seat is identical.

Removing

- Slide the left rear bench seat all the way forward.

- Fold backrest forward.

- Remove the bolt - 1 - (6 Nm) and release the spring - 2 - from the slider - 3 -.


The backrest must be folded forward when releasing the spring component - 2 -. In this position, the tension on the spring element is released.

- Fold the backrest to the rear once again.

- Detach all cover profiles - 4 - from the seat frame under the bench seat.






- Remove cover - 1 - with cushion - 3 - from seat frame.

- Fold the cover, all around, over the cushion.

- Remove all upholstery clips - 2 - and remove the cover from the cushion.

• When removing, the upholstery clips - 2 - will be destroyed. They must be replaced when installing. For this, use Upholstery Clip Pliers (V.A.G 1634).






Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal.
