Converter With Socket, 12 V-115 V (U27)

Trim Removal Wedge (3409)


The Converter With Socket, 12 V-115 V housing contains chargeable capacitors.

There is a danger of electric shock.

The housing of Converter With Socket, 12 V-115 V must not be opened under any circumstances.

When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

No repairs may be performed on the harness connector, on the wires and the 115V-outlet.

If there is a fault at harness connector, at wires, at 115V-socket or in the converter, the complete unit must always be replaced.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Open the flap in front of the 115 V power outlet.

- Carefully remove trim - 1 -.






- Remove bolts - arrows -.






- First pull the bottom trim slightly in - direction of arrow 1 - to the rear and then remove it upward in - direction of arrow 2 - while being careful of connected wires.






- Release and disconnect the harness connectors - arrows - and remove the trim.






- Disengage power outlet at retaining lugs - arrows - and disconnect it.






- Remove both screws - arrows - and remove the Converter With Socket, 12 V-115 V from the trim.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
