• Drift (T10168)
• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)
• Kukko Extractor 18.5-23.5 mm (21/3)
• Threaded Adapter from Kukko Support (22/1)
• Kukko Support (22/2)
• Kukko Extractor 14.5-18.5 mm (21/2)
• Sealing Paste (AMV 188 200 03)
• When installing the tapered roller bearing, install new shims which have the same thickness as the previous shims.

2 Seal
• Always replace
3 Transmission Fluid Fill Plug
• For the tightening specification refer to => [ Transmission Fluid Level, Checking ] Procedures.
4 Bolt
• 35 Nm
• Discontinued shortly after the start of production.
• The threaded bore for the case is then closed.
5 Bushing
• For the gear shift shaft.
• Removing, refer to => [ Removing the Shift Shaft Bushing ].
• Installing, refer to => [ Installing the Shift Shaft Bushing ].
6 Bushing
• For the selector rod.
• Removing, refer to => [ Removing the Shift Shaft Bushing ].
• Installing, refer to => [ Installing the Shift Shaft Bushing ].
7 Adjusting Shim
• For the 3rd and 4th gear output shaft.
• Pay attention to the thickness.
• Will get damaged when being removed, always replace.
8 Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
• For the 3rd and 4th gear output shaft.
• Removing and installing, see - item 22 - in => [ 3rd and 4th Gear Output Shaft Overview ] 3rd and 4th Gear Output Shaft Overview.
• When installing: install an adjusting shim - 7 - with the same thickness.
9 Adjusting Shim
• For the 1st and 2nd gear output shaft.
• Pay attention to the thickness.
• Will get damaged when being removed, always replace.
10 Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
• For the 1st and 2nd gear output shaft.
• Removing and installing, see - item 25 - in => [ 1st and 2nd Gear Output Shaft Overview ] 1st and 2nd Gear Output Shaft Overview.
• When installing: install an adjusting shim - 9 - with the same thickness.
11 Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
• For the differential.
• Removing and installing, see - item 3 - in => [ Differential Overview ] Removal and Replacement.
• When replacing: adjust the differential, refer to => [ Differential, Adjusting ] Differential, Adjusting.
12 Adjusting Shim
• For the differential

13 Outer Race/Tapered Roller Bearing
• For the reverse gear output shaft.
• Removing and installing, see - item 15 - in => [ Reverse Gear Output Shaft Overview ] Reverse Gear Output Shaft Overview.
• When installing: install an adjusting shim - 14 - with the same thickness.
14 Adjusting Shim
• For the reverse gear output shaft.
• Pay attention to the thickness.
• Will get damaged when being removed, always replace.
15 Magnet
• Secured in the transmission housing using sealing paste (AMV 188 200 03).
16 Oil Drain Plug
• 45 Nm
17 Seal
• Replace with the transmission installed, refer to => [ Left Stub Shaft and Seal ] Left Stub Shaft and Seal.
Removing the Shift Shaft Bushing
- Use the threaded adapter - arrow - from the Kukko support (22/1).
- Hold the spindle on the subframe support assem. device (3290) and turn the nut - B -.
A Extractor 14.5-18.5 mm, for example (21/2).
