Steering Column Cover: Service and Repair

Steering Column Trim

Removing

- Disengage steering wheel adjustment locking lever.

- Pull out steering wheel and push it downward.

- Disconnect the battery.

- Remove driver airbag unit. Refer to => [ Driver Airbag ] Driver Airbag

- Remove the steering wheel.

- Remove gap cover - 1 - and upper steering column trim - 2 - from mounts.

- Remove bolt - 3 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove the two bolts - 4 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove lower steering column trim - 5 - from mounts.






Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal.
