Exhaust Sensor Overview
• If the particulate filter or exhaust pressure sensor 1 (G450) is replaced, the exhaust pressure sensor 1 must be adapted with the vehicle diagnostic tester: guided functions; adapt exhaust pressure sensor 1.
1 Reduction Catalytic Converter
2 Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor 4 (G648)
• 45 Nm
• Lubricate with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3).
3 Particulate Filter
4 Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter
5 EGT Sensor 3 (G495)
• 45 Nm
• Note the installed position.
• Lubricate with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3).
6 Catalyst Temperature Sensor 1 (G20)
• 45 Nm
• Note the installed position.
• Lubricate with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3).
7 EGT Sensor 2 (G448)
• 45 Nm
• Note the installed position.
• Lubricate with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3).
8 Nut
• 2.5 Nm
9 Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) Sensor (G295)
• 45 Nm
10 Heated Oxygen (HO2S) Sensor (G39)
• 50 Nm
• Only lubricate the threads with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3). Do not allow the hot bolt paste to enter the slits on the sensor body.
• To remove, use ring spanner 7-piece set (3337).
11 Turbocharger
12 EGT Sensor 1 (G235)
• 45 Nm
• Lubricate with hot bolt paste (G 052 112 A3).
