Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hose Clamps Up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)

Removing





- Remove the engine cover from the 4 ball studs - arrow - one after the other.

- Loosen the charge air hose clamps - arrows - and remove the hose.





Place a cloth under separating point to catch leaking hydraulic fluid.





- Clamp off the power steering pump hydraulic hose using (3094).

- Remove the hydraulic hose - 1 - from the power steering pump.

- Remove the banjo bolt - 2 - and lay the pressure line aside.

- Remove the vacuum pump.

- Remove the nuts bolts - 1 through 8 - and the exhaust manifold.





Installing

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

Replace seals, gaskets, O-rings and self locking nuts.

Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type, refer to the parts catalog.

- Tighten the connecting bolt between the intermediate pipe and exhaust manifold as follows:

- Tighten to 10 Nm.

- Tighten to 30 Nm.

- Tighten and additional 90° (1/4) turn.

- Align the exhaust system so it is free of tension.

- Check the power steering hydraulic fluid level.

Tightening Specifications
