Illuminated Sill Panel with Lettering

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

• Release Lever (T10039)

Optional Equipment Volkswagen R GmbH.

• The illuminated sill panel with lettering is installed only on the driver and passenger side of R-vehicles.

• Removing and installing the right warning buzzer is described. Removing and installing the left buzzer is identical.


When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool (plastic wedge, screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removal






- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Pry the illuminated sill panel - 1 - out of the sill panel using the (-T10039/1-) in the - direction of the arrow -.

- Remove the connector - 2 - from the inverter - 3 -.

Installation






- Connect the plug connector - 2 - of the illuminated sill panel - 1 - to the plug connector of the inverter - 3 -.

- Clip the illuminated sill panel - 1 - into the sill panel in - the direction of the arrow -.
