Air Cleaner Housing: Description and Operation

Air Filter Assembly Overview





1 Air guide pipe

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Air Guide Pipe ] Service and Repair.

2 Spring type clip

3 Intake tube

4 Bolt, 6 Nm

5 Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor 2 (G246)

• For cylinder bank 2 (left side)

• For cylinder bank 1 (right side), the MAF sensor (G70) is equipped with the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor (G42).

6 Seal

• Replace if damaged.

7 Upper air filter housing

• On the right side with connection to the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump motor (V101)

8 Filter element

9 To Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump motor (V101)

10 Air Inlet duct

• Secured to lock carrier.

11 Rubber bushing

• Clipped into longitudinal member.

12 Lower air filter housing

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Lower Air Filter Housing ] Removal and Replacement.

13 Bolt, 10 Nm

14 Connection from air suspension compressor

• Disconnecting, refer to => [ Connecting Line to Air Suspension Compressor, Disconnecting ] Connecting Line to Air Suspension Compressor, Disconnecting.

15 Bolt, 9 Nm
