Steering Mounted Controls Communication Module: Description and Operation
Steering Column Electronic Systems Control Module (J527), From 11.09
The steering column electronic systems control module includes the following components and cannot be disassembled:
• Airbag Spiral Spring/Return Spring With Slip Ring (F138)
• Steering Angle Sensor (G85)
• Remove the transportation safeguard before installing a new steering column electronic systems control module.

• If steering column switch malfunctions occur, the coding of the steering column electronic systems control module must be checked.
