Instrument Cluster Indicator Lamps
NOTE: Different instrument clusters are used, depending on vehicle equipment. Therefore, the arrangement of the control lamps may deviate from the illustration.

1 - Glow Plug System/Diesel Engine Management Indicator Lamp
The indicator lamp is only present in vehicles with a diesel engine.
2 - Engine Interference (EPC)
The indicator lamp is only present in vehicles with a gasoline engine.
Blinking: Malfunction in the engine control (gasoline engines).
3 - Diesel Particulate Filter Indicator Lamp
4 - Engine Oil Pressure Control Lamp
Engine oil pressure too low.
Stop engine and check oil level.
5 - Bulb Failure Or Cornering Lamp System Malfunction Indicator Lamp
Illuminates: Complete or partial failure of the driving lighting.
Blinking: Malfunction in the dynamic cornering lamp AFS (adaptive front lighting system).
6 - Rear Fog Lamp Control Lamp
Fog lights switched on.
7 - Washer Fluid Level Indicator Lamp
Washer fluid level in reservoir too low.
8 - High Beams Control Lamp
High beams switched on or headlamp flasher operated.
9 - Seat Belt Control Lamp
Driver or front passenger seat belt not fastened.
10 - Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Lamp
Malfunction
11 - Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) Indicator Lamp
Blinking: Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP) regulating.
Illuminates: ESP malfunction or switched off.
12 - Parking Brake / Brake System Warning Lamp
Electromechanical parking brake switched on, brake fluid level too low, or malfunction in the brake system.
13 - Cruise Control System (CCS) Control Lamp
Cruise control regulating.
14 - Tire Pressure Monitor Control Lamp
The pressure in at least one tire is too low or there is a system malfunction.
15 - Brake Pad Indicator Lamp
Front brake pads worn.
16 - "Depress Foot Brake" Indicator Lamp
Request from the DSG transmission.
Indicator lamp only present in vehicles with a DSG transmission.
17 - Fuel Level Control Lamp
Fuel level too low (reserve quantity).
18 - Door Open Indicator Lamp
One or more doors are open or not closed completely.
19 - Rear Lid Open Indicator Lamp
The rear lid is open or not latched completely.
20 - Airbag System/Belt Tensioner System Indicator Lamp
Malfunction in the airbag and/or belt tensioner system.
21 - Emissions Warning Lamp (OBD)
Malfunction in the exhaust system (catalytic converter).
22 - Electro-Mechanical Power Steering Indicator Lamp
Illuminates yellow: Reduced electro-mechanical power steering.
Illuminates red: Electro-mechanical power steering failure.
23 - Engine Coolant Temperature Control Indicator Lamp
Coolant temperature too high or
Coolant level too low.
24 - Generator Control Lamp
Malfunction in generator.
25 - Surrounding Area Observation System Indicator Lamp
Switched on
