Checking 6 Volt Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) Batteries

Perform battery checks in the following sequence

- Inspecting

- Battery load test with the Battery Tester (VAS 6161) (Observe notes for testing 6V AGM batteries with the battery tester => [ Notes for Checking

- Depending on the result of the battery load test, perform current draw test (note exception for 6 volt batteries during current draw test in Electrical system general information).

General Description

AGM is an abbreviation for Absorbent Glass Mat battery. That means the electrolyte is contained in a micro-glass mat in these batteries.

AGM batteries are maintenance-free.

AGM batteries have a completely closed housing.

AGM batteries are leak-proof.

AGM batteries are not equipped with a visual indicator (visual indicator).

It is not possible to open the battery.
