Front Interior Lamp (W1), Without Anti-Theft Warning System

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (VAS 3409)

• The following illustrations show removing and installing the front interior lamp on a vehicle without a sunroof. Removing and installing the front interior lamp on a vehicle with a sunroof is identical.

• When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( (VAS 3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removal

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Carefully pry panel out of interior lamp - arrows - using (VAS 3409) or a screwdriver.






- Remove screws - arrows -.






- Remove interior lamp from console in molded headliner.

- Disconnect connectors - arrows -.






Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
