High Beam Headlamp Bulb and Daytime Running Lamp Bulb

The Left high beam headlamp bulb (M30) and the Right high beam headlamp bulb (M32) is a two-filament bulb and functions also as the Left daytime running lamp (L174) and the Right daytime running lamp (L175).

It is not necessary to remove the headlamp in order to replace a high beam headlamp/daytime running lamp bulb.

The illustrations show how to replace the high beam headlamp bulb/daytime running lamp on the left headlamp.

Replacing the high beam headlamp/daytime running lamp bulb in the right headlamp is identical.

Removal

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Pull off cover cap - 1 -.






- Turn the bulb socket - 1 - in - direction of arrow - and pull the high beam headlamp/daytime running lamp bulb out of the headlamp.






The high beam headlamp/daytime running lamp bulb and the bulb socket are a single piece and cannot be disassembled.

High beam headlamp/daytime running lamp bulb: 12V, 15/55W

Installation


When installing the cover cap, make sure the cap is properly seated. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.

Do not touch the glass of the light bulb, when installing. Your fingers will leave traces of grease on the glass which, when the light is switched on, will evaporate and cloud the glass.

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Check headlamp for function.

- Check headlamp adjustment and adjust headlamp if necessary.
