Radio, RNS 510 Operating Noise
Do not replace radio for this condition. Units replaced because of operating noises will be debited back to the dealer.
Technical Background
The following operating noises are considered normal characteristics.
Low Volume Operating Noise:
^ Operating noise can be heard at low volume
^ Operating noise can be heard after RNS 510 is switched off
Internal Cooling Fan of System:
^ After switching the radio OFF, the internal fan may operate for a short time
^ During extended radio use the internal fan may cycle on and off
Internal CD Drive:
^ The internal drive can also generate operating noises, particularly if the CD or DVD has a certain imbalance
