Ignition Switch Faults Stored - Various Malfunctioning Comfort Functions

The following symptoms may occur:

^ Convertible top hesitates to open or close, when the ignition switch is in the ON position.

^ When the ignition is switched OFF, the windows may drop due to short drop feature.

^ Engine OFF, key inserted, radio deactivates.

^ Engine OFF, key inserted, blue tooth� module deactivates.








In the memory of 16 - steering wheel electronics the following entries may be logged:

Technical Background

High resistance in S-contact circuit of the ignition switch.

Production Solution

Improved S contact switch Part No.1 KO 905 865 A.

Service
