Fastener Tightening Specifications






• 1 Always replace

• 2 Lubricate the bolts with hot bolt paste, refer to the Parts Catalog

• 3 Jetta/GLI for MY 08 through 10, Jetta SportWagen (US)/Jetta Wagon (Canada) for MY 09 only

Turbocharger Nut Tightening Sequence and Specification






Tighten the nuts in 4 passes in sequence - 1 through 5 - as follows:

- Tighten the nuts to 5 Nm.

- Tighten the nuts to 12 Nm.

- Tighten the nuts to 16 Nm.

- Tighten the nuts to 25 Nm.
