Selector Mechanism Overview, from 03.09


Move the selector lever into the "P" position and set the parking brake before working with the engine running.






1 Selector Handle with Cover

• Do not remove the handle unnecessarily. For emergency release, only the cover must be unclipped. Refer to => [ Selector Lever, Manual Release ] Selector Lever, Manual Release.

• Pull the button past its pressure point before removing the handle. Secure the button with a cable tie or some suitable wire. This prevents the button from being pushed back into handle accidentally.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Selector Handle with Cover ] Selector Handle with Cover.

2 Selector Mechanism with Selector Lever and Selector Lever Cable

• With the shift lock solenoid (N110).

• The cable is not lubricated.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Selector Mechanism with Lever and Cable, from 03.09 ] Service and Repair.

• Checking, refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable, Checking ] Selector Lever Cable, Checking.

• Adjusting, refer to => [ Selector Lever Cable, Adjusting ] Adjustments.

4 Nut

• 8 Nm

• Quantity: 4

5 Selector Housing

6 Adjusting Bolt

• 13 Nm

7 Lock Washer

• Always replace after removing.

8 Lock Washer

• Always replace after removing.
