HID Headlamp Ballast

The left HID headlamp ballast (J426) / right HID headlamp ballast (J427) is located on the under side of the respective headlamp housing.

• The following illustrations show removing and installing a right headlamp.


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removal

- Remove the headlamp. Refer to=> [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






• When removing the right HID headlamp ballast (J427) from the headlamp housing, the electrical connector is disconnected at the same time.

- Remove the right HID headlamp ballast - 1 - from the headlamp housing.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:


Make sure the seal fit correctly when installing right HID headlamp ballast. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.

- Tighten the threaded connections to the tightening specification. Refer to => [ HID Headlamps and Cornering Lamp Overview, from MY 10 ] HID Headlamps and Cornering Lamp Overview, from MY 10.

- Check headlamp for functions.
