Clutch Overview, LuK





1 Dual mass flywheel

• Removing and installing, refer to one of the following:

Diesel engines.

Gas engines.

• Make sure it fits securely on the alignment pins.

• Keep the clutch lining contact surface free of grooves, oil and grease.

2 Clutch Plate

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch, LuK ] Clutch, LuK.

• Only replace together with the Self Adjusting Clutch (SAC) pressure plate.

• Installed position, refer to => [ Clutch Plate, Installed
Position ] Clutch, LuK.

3 SAC Pressure Plate

• SAC = "Self Adjusting Clutch"

• Only replace together with the clutch plate.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch, LuK ] Clutch, LuK.

• Check the ends of the diaphragm spring, refer to => [ Checking the Ends of
the Diaphragm Spring ] Clutch, LuK.

• Checking the spring and rivet connections, refer to => [ Checking the Ends of
the Diaphragm Spring ] Clutch, LuK.

• Only check the position of the adjustment mechanism with new pressure plates. Refer to => [ Only Check the Position
of the Adjustment Mechanism with a New Pressure Plate ] Clutch, LuK.

4 Bolt

• M6 = 13 Nm

• M7 = 20 Nm

• Loosen and tighten in small steps and in a diagonal sequence.
